Many of our embroidery designs are original works created exclusively for Evening Shade Cottage and reflect countless hours of artistic design, digitizing, testing, and refinement.

We are honored that you have chosen to visit our shop, and we respectfully ask that you honor the creative work behind each piece.

Our Copyright Policy

Unless otherwise noted, all original content on this website is protected by United States copyright law.

This includes, but is not limited to:

Copyright exists automatically upon creation of an original work. Additional registrations may be obtained through the United States Copyright Office for selected designs and collections.

Original Evening Shade Cottage Designs

Products identified as Original Evening Shade Cottage Designs are created exclusively for Evening Shade Cottage.

These designs may not be:

  • Copied

  • Traced

  • Digitized

  • Scanned

  • Recreated

  • Distributed

  • Sold

  • Shared

  • Used to create derivative embroidery files

without prior written permission.

We sincerely appreciate those who value and respect the time, creativity, and craftsmanship that go into original design work.

Commercially Licensed Designs

From time to time, Evening Shade Cottage may also offer products stitched from commercially licensed embroidery designs.

When we use licensed artwork:

  • We purchase the appropriate commercial license when required.

  • We comply with the designer’s licensing terms.

  • Copyright remains with the original designer.

Our finished handcrafted products are created under those licensing agreements.

Personal Use

Customers are welcome to purchase and enjoy finished products for personal use or as gifts.

Ownership of a finished embroidered item does not transfer ownership of the underlying artwork or embroidery design.

Product Photography

All photographs appearing on this website are the property of Evening Shade Cottage unless otherwise noted.

Photographs may not be copied, downloaded, reproduced, or used for commercial purposes without written permission.

We welcome sharing our products through social media using direct links to our website or official social media pages.

Handmade with Care

Each item is individually embroidered and finished by hand.

Small variations in thread placement, fabric texture, or stitching are natural characteristics of handcrafted work and should not be considered defects. These subtle differences make every heirloom uniquely its own.
